Foster, Hernandez earn All-ACC

Winston-Salem, N.C. - Kierra Foster and Lynn Hernandez both finished in the top three of the long jump on the second day of competition at the ACC Track and Field Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Foster's second placed finish with a jump of 20-09.00 and Hernandez' third place mark of 20-05.75 earned both athletes All-ACC accolades. The jumps were also NCAA Regional qualifying marks and earned a total of 14 points for the Terps.

On the men's side, David Edwards-Brennan and Chris Haley both finished in the top-10 of the high jump. Edwards-Brennan placed seventh with a mark of 6-04.75, while Haley placed ninth with his jump of 6-02.75.

In the women's shot put, Bria Johnson's mark of 47-07.00 earned three points for the Terps and placed her sixth.

In the men's long jump, Jayson Alexander placed ninth with a mark of 23-04.00.

Salvador Delhierro and James Rolle placed 12th and 13th in the shot put, with marks of 47-10.50 and 46-11 respectively.

After two days of competition, the Maryland women are in fifth place with 30 points, while the men are in tenth with 3.50.
