HARRISONBURG, Va. - The No. 23 Maryland women's soccer team pounded James Madison, 4-1 on a foggy, wet and chilling night at the JMU Soccer Field. Terps have won four of their last five games and now stand at 11-6 overall heading into the season finale this Friday night at ACC leader No. 2 North Carolina. James Madison fell to 8-7-3.

Freshman Kimmy Francis (Richboro, Pa.) posted a career-high four points as she had a hand in the first three goals of the game.

The Terps scored on a set piece to open the scoring as Francis' corner kick was headed into the goal by freshman Mallory Mahar (Medina, Ohio) in the 15th minute.

Francis then assisted the second goal as the rebound of her shot was knocked in by junior midfielder Jen Biscoe (Baltimore, Md.) in the 32nd minute making it 2-0.

With her two assists, Francis now has eight on the season to lead the Terps and is one off the school record for assists by a freshman set by Emmy Harbo in 1995.

Francis then took care of the honors on her own as she nailed a free kick over a JMU wall for her second goal of the season in the 54th minute.

The Terps finished their scoring as freshman Ali Andrezjewski (Lutherville, Md.) scored her eighth goal of the season to tie Audra Poulin (Silver Spring, Md.) for the team lead. Andrezjewski scored a breakaway goal off a pass from Kim King (Media, Pa.) in the 69th minute.

James Madison spoiled Kristen Barnhill's (Charlottesville, Va.) attempt for her third career solo shutout as Mindy Light scored on a shot across the box into the lower right corner in the 74th minute.

Barnhill made four saves for her fifth win in six decisions.

Maryland outshot the Dukes 13-4 in the first half and 19-9 in the match.

Maryland returns to action on Friday night in the season finale at No. 2 North Carolina at 7 p.m. at Fetzer Field.
