COLLEGE PARK, Md. - It was an emotional night for the Maryland women's soccer team as the team's five seniors were honored before their final regular-season home game a 2-0 victory over Mount St. Mary's on a chilly Tuesday night.

The freshly-minted No. 20 (Soccer America poll) Terps continued their unbeaten streak, extending it to six games (5-0-1) as they move their overall record to 10-4-2. The Mountaineers fall to 1-15.

Maryland's Courtney Beirne (Westminster, Md.), Jenny Boyd (Herndon, Va.), Sara Gustafson (Reisterstown, Md.), Debbie Lieberman (Commack, N.Y.) and Ali Wolff (Richmond, Va.) were honored in a pregame ceremony for their great careers as Terps.

With the emotions still flowing in the first half, the Terps came out sluggish and were deadlocked at 0-0 after 45 minutes.

The Terps finally broke through in the 54th minute in the second half as Jen Biscoe (Baltimore, Md.) scored from 10 yards out into the lower right corner of the net off a pass from Dana Jarzyniecki (Rochester, N.Y.).

Maryland continued its onslaught of shots and scored again in the 64th minute as Audra Poulin (Silver Spring, Md.) headed home a cross from Kim King (Media, Pa.) from right in front of the net. Freshman Lindsay Niehaus (Cincinnati, Ohio) was credited with the second assist -- the first college point of her career.

Maryland pummeled Mount St. Mary's when it came to shots, outshooting them 36-3 for the game including an astonishing 26-1 in the second half.

In net, Wolff made one first-half save to record her ninth shutout of the season to tie the Maryland single-season shutout record. Heather Rowe set the mark of nine in 1988 and Missy Price tied it in 1996. Wolff also builds her career shutout mark to a record 20.5.

Mount St. Mary's keepers Naomi Campano and Margaret Pyzik were busy all night as they made nine and five saves, respectively.

The Terps return to action on Friday night as they travel to Tallahassee for a pivotal ACC match up with the Seminoles. Both teams are 3-3 in the league and will be battling for a third place finish with the ACC Tournament set to begin next Thursday, Nov. 8.
