ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Postgame notes following Maryland's 31-20 loss to Marshall in the 2013 Military Bowl.

Kicking It Off: In the first all-time meeting between Maryland and Marshall, the Thundering Herd knocked off the Terps, 31-20, in the 2013 Military Bowl. Maryland ends the season with a record of 7-6, while Marshall closes out with a record of 10-4. The Terps are now 11-12-2 all-time in bowl games.

Rising Totals: With his touchdown passes to wide receiver Levern Jacobs and tight end Dave Stinebaugh, Brown has 13 passing touchdowns on the season to go along with 12 rushing scores. His 25 total touchdowns responsible for is tied with Scott McBrien for the second-most in a single season. For his career, Brown is responsible for 37 touchdowns, the sixth-most in school history.

Top the Charts: Brown rushed for 38 yards to increase his season total to 576 yards. That total is a Maryland single-season record for a quarterback topping his own mark of 574 yards in 2011.

Consistent Craddock: Place kicker Brad Craddock connected on field goals of 25 yards and 33 yards Craddock has made 21 field goals this season, the third most in school history. He has hit 84 percent (21-of-25) of his attempts, which is fourth-highest single-season average.

Ross on the Run: Running back Brandon Ross rushed for over 100 yards for the second time this season and fourth time in his career. Ross finished with 116 yards on 20 carries. It is the fifth-highest rushing total by a Terrapin this season and the ninth-most by a Terp in a bowl game.

Jacobs Tops 100: Jacobs had seven catches for 100 yards and one touchdown. It is the second time this season Jacobs has totaled 100 or more yards. Jacobs had eight catches for 158 yards against Clemson (10/26). His 100 yards receiving is the fourth-highest total for a Maryland player in a bowl game.

Sack It: Defensive lineman Andre Monroe started the ball game with a sack and now leads the team with 9.5 sacks this season. Monroe has 14.5 career sacks in 22 games. Monroe entered Friday’s game averaging 0.64 sacks per game, which was the sixth-highest average among active players nationally.

Defensive Notes: Monroe finished with a career-high 10 tackles tying defensive back Sean Davis for the team high … Monroe also had a team-best 3.5 TFL … Davis tied a career high with nine solo stops … defensive lineman Darius Kilgo and linebacker Marcus Whitfield each had one TFL.
