COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Head coach Brett Nelligan and the maryland gymnastics program announced the dates of the 2017 Summer Camps on Wednesday. All camp sessions are open to beginner-level gymnasts through Level 10 and Elite from ages seven to 17 and will be hosted at the Maryland Gymnastics Training Facility at the University of Maryland.
The Terps will host four sessions this summer, beginning with Session 1 from June 14-17. The June session costs $455 for commuters and $555 for overnight campers.
Maryland's Session 2 will take place July 30-Aug. 2 and will cost $495 for commuters and $595 for overnight campers.
Session 3 will take place Aug. 2-5 followed by Session 4 from Aug. 6-Aug. 9. Both August sessions cost $495 for day campers and $595 for overnight campers.
Overnight campers will stay in University of Maryland resident halls on North Campus with 24-hour supervision. All meals will be provided by The Diner on North Campus.
Coaches and gymnasts from Maryland, as well as college and club coaches from across the country, will serve as coaches for all sessions. Campers will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics as well as individualized skills at every level. Coaches will give one-on-one attention to each unique gymnast.
There will be a certified trainer on duty for the entirety of the camp to treat any injuries or ailments. The camp requires a medical release form to be completed, which can be found online during the registration process.
Campers are encouraged to register early as previous camp sessions have filled up quickly.
