COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women’s golf team will play in its second tournament of the spring season when they head to Mesa, Ariz. for the Clover Cup Friday through Sunday.
The 15-team field consists of FIU, Nebraska, Colorado, East Carolina, Mississippi, Louisville, UNLV, Kennesaw State, Michigan, Tulsa, Cincinnati, New Mexico State, St. John’s, and Notre Dame.
Tee times will start at 8:00 a.m. Friday for the first round at Longbow Golf Club. The course is a par-72 and covers 6,209 yards.
The Terps are coming off a 14th-place finish at the Hurricane Invitational last week. Vongphoumy led the Terps at the Hurricane Invitational shooting a 216 in the three round tournament. Gimpel followed Vongphyoumy shooting a 228 and finishing tied for 55th place in the tournament.
Gregory, Baek, and Papell all posted similar scores and rounded out the group for the Terps. Gregory shot a 234, Baek a 235, and Papell a 236.
