COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland athletic department announced the NCAA has approved the request for a legislative release waiver allowing Jonathan Graham to be immediately eligible for competition for the 2013-14 season.

“We’re excited for Jonathan that he is immediately eligible for the upcoming season,” said head coach Mark Turgeon. “Our administration did an outstanding job working diligently on Jonathan’s behalf.”

Graham played in 57 career games (25 starts) over the course of two seasons at Penn State, averaging 2.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 17.2 minutes. The Baltimore, Md. native was a 2010 graduate of Calvert Hall College High School.

Graham’s father, Ernie, averaged 13.6 points in 118 games as a Terrapin from 1977-81. Ernie scored 44 points in a game against NC State on December 20, 1978, a feat that remains the Maryland single-game scoring record.

Maryland opens its season Friday against 19th-ranked Connecuticut at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., at 6:30 p.m. The Terps home opener is scheduled for Nov. 13 against Abilene Christian at 7 p.m. Season tickets are still available for as low as $445.

The three game flex plan is currently on sale to Terrapin Club members.  Fans will have their choice of either the Syracuse package or the Pittsburgh package.  Each package also contains an ACC game as well as a non-conference game.  Flex Plans will go on sale to the general public on Nov. 11.

Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling the ticket office at 1-800-462-8377.
