The Associate Athletic Director, Sport Performance will serve as a member of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and report to the Deputy Athletic Director/COO. This position will direct and administer all areas of sport performance, including athletic training, sports nutrition, strength and conditioning and contracted medical services including team physicians and sport psychologists. This position fosters collaboration and cooperation between areas of sports performance to ensure the best services and treatment are provided to all student-athletes. Serves as the liaison for head coaches on issues related to team and student-athlete performance and policies. Coordinates, develops and plans a high performance plan for the department. Ensure implementation of best practice strategies and programming to maximize the development and performance of student-athletes. Oversees the coordination of the physical therapy and rehabilitation programs for athletic training operations. Responsible for researching and developing new and evolving training and injury prevention techniques, technologies and protocols for the university's sports programs. Coordinates the drug testing program for the athletics department as well as other duties to be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree and advanced degree in athletic training, physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field desired. Requires extensive knowledge of the principles, practices, technology, and methods of all aspects of athletics performance; training, knowledge and experience in principles of athletic training and injury prevention/rehabilitation; and supervisory/ administrative experience preferably in intercollegiate strength training programs. Strong verbal and written communications skill and knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations is strongly preferred.
