2012 Terps Women's Lacrosse Preview

Maryland boasts four preseason All-Americans

As a Junior in 2013: Contributed to the defensive play to help the Terps top Richmond 20-7 in the season opener (2/10).

As a Sophomore in 2012: Saw action in 10 games this season...tallied two draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover against Stony Brook (3/20)...recorded three draw controls against Princeton (4/11)...tallied a draw control and a caused turnover against Virginia Tech (4/14).

As a Freshman in 2011: Saw action in Maryland wins against Delaware (2/16), No. 16 Penn State (2/20), George Mason (3/8), No. 20 Boston College (3/20), Stony Brook (3/22), No. 10 James Madison (3/26), No. 12 Princeton (4/13, Virginia Tech (4/16), Navy (5/14) and Princeton (5/21)...racked up two ground balls vs. Stony Brook and one against Mason...secured one ground ball and one caused turnover at Virginia Tech....also tallied a ground ball and a caused turnover against Navy.

Prep: Three-sport standout at Towson, playing both volleyball, basketball and lacrosse...led Generals to the state finals in 2008, regional finals in 2009 and regional semifinals in 2010...earned scholar-athlete and `Minds in Motion' awards in all three sports... also a libero/defensive specialist on Towson's volleyball team...competed for TLC Lacrosse Club...named to Under Armour All-American Underclassmen Team in 2008 and 2009.

Personal:Born Oct. 24, 1991...daughter of Mike and Leigh Farrell...father played lacrosse at Maryland...brother Brian is currently an All-American on Maryland's men's team...playing sports as a kid pretended she was Jen Adams...lists her father as her sports hero...majoring in kinesiology.
