COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland women's tennis team finished off a weekend sweep on Sunday, beating Marshall, 6-1. The match was the second-consecutive 6-1 victory for the Terps, who beat West Virginia on Saturday.

It was also Maryland's final non-conference match of the season, finishing the portion of the schedule with a 6-5 record. It is the second-consecutive season Maryland had a winning record in non-conference play.

"I'm happy with the way we closed out the weekend," head coach Daria Panova said. "It was important for us to have a strong weekend, and winning 12-of-14 matches between the two days is a credit to how the team played this weekend. We still have things to work on moving forward, but we're looking forward to starting Big Ten play with some momentum behind us."

Maryland earned the doubles point for the seventh time this season to begin Sunday's match. Arnelle Sullivan and Saya Usui made quick work at the third doubles position, posting a 6-0 win to give Maryland a quick advantage. Eva Alexandrova and Millie Stretton then earned their seventh win of the year at the top doubles position, clinching the point for the Terrapins.

Freshman Zoe Kulkarni then grabbed Maryland's first singles point for the second-consecutive match, posting a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the fifth singles spot.

Sophomore Saya Usui kept it rolling at sixth singles and earned her first-career dual match win with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Stretton then secured her seventh singles win of the season at the third singles positon, which clinched the match victory for the Terrapins.

With the match in hand, the Terrapins kept the foot on the gas and tallied two more wins following the clinch. Alexandrova earned her seventh singles victory of the year at first singles, which was then followed by senior Ekaterina Tour's three-set win at second singles.

Marshall's lone point in the came in the final match of the day, a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win at fourth singles.
