COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland student-athletes once again excelled in the classroom as evidenced by their performances in the most recent fall 2017 academic semester. For the third consecutive semester, the student-athletes posted an all team cumulative GPA of 3.00.
"Our student-athletes continue to get it done in the classroom," Associate AD and Director of Academic Support & Career Development Chris Uchacz said. "We continue to set the bar at a very challenging level and they continue to meet that challenge. I would also be remiss if I did not mention how hard the ASCDU team works in supporting our student-athletes as they continue to excel."
The women's golf team and the men's outdoor track & field teams posted then highest semester team GPAs for women's and men's sports programs, respectively.
103 student-athletes were named to their respective college dean's lists, while 249 student-athletes were named as recipients of the ICA Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for earning a 3.00 semester GPA or higher. In total, 14 student-athletes graduated this past December.
