Ryan Morrison was hired in 2018 as the staff athletic trainer for the University of Maryland Men’s Soccer team, returning after spending time as a resident with Maryland Football between 2014 and 2016. In addition to providing athletic training for Men’s Soccer, Ryan will also oversee the athletic training resident with Baseball.
While away from Maryland, Ryan spent two years at Michigan State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and obtained his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. His first year was spent covering Men’s Soccer, a team that made it to the NCAA tournament and finished the season ranked #18 in the country. During his second year, Ryan worked with the Michigan State Football team that won the 2017 Holiday Bowl and finished the year 10-3.
Prior to his time at the University of Maryland and Michigan State University, Ryan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan University in 2014. His final semester was spent in Knoxville as a football intern at the University of Tennessee.
Outside of work Ryan enjoys cooking, running, playing soccer and playing board games with his family and friends.
Ryan is originally from Ann Arbor, MI and currently resides in Silver Spring, MD.
