David Wilczewski is entering his fifth season at Maryland and third as the Director of Football Recruiting Operations. He previously served as a Recruiting Analyst at Maryland and has over 10 years of experience working in college football recruiting.
In his current role, he assists Head Coach DJ Durkin in the long term recruiting strategy for the football program, manages all aspects of head coach and assistant coach recruiting travel, official and unofficial visits, academic evaluations of prospective student-athletes, and serves as the liaison to the athletic compliance office, admissions office, and various constituency groups on and off campus for recruiting related purposes.
Prior to joining the Maryland staff, Wilczewski served as the Recruiting Assistant at the University of Connecticut from 2008 through 2013. Prior to joining the staff at UConn, Wilczewski served as the Recruiting Assistant at Marshall University during the spring of 2008.
Wilczewski graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Economics in 2007 and a degree in Coaching/Administration in 2008. He received his MBA with a concentration in Strategic Management and Organizational Design from Indiana University in March 2015. Wilczewski resides in Annapolis, Md.
