Natalie West joined the University of Maryland athletics staff this April as a Director of Development. In this role, Natalie is responsible for soliciting major gift support for the Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund. In addition, she serves as the fundraising liaison to the Field Hockey and Women’s Gymnastics teams.
Prior to her appointment at Maryland, Natalie began her development career with an eight year stint in the department of Alumni and Development Programs at Washington University in St. Louis. During her tenure, she held various positions including fundraising for the Department of Athletics. In that position, she played a pivotal role in leading the department’s planning efforts towards realizing their 30 million dollar campaign goal. Most recently and directly prior to her appointment at Maryland, Natalie served as the Senior Associate Director of Affinity Engagement Programs where she spearheaded a new fundraising unit focused on engaging and soliciting alumni in a more customized manner—towards the support of Washington University’s 400 million dollar scholarship goal.
Natalie graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies and a Master of Arts in International Affairs. A native of Silver Spring, MD, she now resides in Odenton, MD.
