ROSEMONT, Ill. – Three members of the Maryland men’s golf team were named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list Wednesday. Senior Connor Tendall, junior Tom Harris and sophomore Victor Fox were named to the list by the league’s head coaches.
Fox was named to the PING Division I All-Northeast Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America after his freshman season. Fox had a strong rookie season, finishing in the top 25 in four tournaments. His best finish was eighth at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate in October in which he finished two-under par on the weekend.
Harris finished in the top 20 at the Rutherford Intercollegiate on Penn State’s Blue Course last spring with his combined score of 220 (77-71-72) to go seven-over.
Tendall finished in the top 25 at three tournaments on the year as a junior. He wound up tied for 11th at the Rutherford Intercollegiate with his score of 218 (70-72-76).
The Terrapins will open the 2014-15 season Friday, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, N.C.
