Q: Do I have BTN?

BTN is available on all major video providers, including DIRECTV, DISH, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-verse, Cablevision Optimum, Charter Communications, Comcast Xfinity, Cox Communications, Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, RCN, WOW!, and about 300 additional video providers across North America.

Q: Which game will I get when BTN is televising two or more games at once?
A:  You will get the game most relevant for your area, with Extra Football Game Channels. If your TV provider does not carry these extra channels, you can access any game we are airing via BTN2Go, which is free to subscribers of participating TV providers.

Q: Which networks will televise Maryland football games?
A: The Big Ten Conference has media agreements with BTN, ABC, ESPN and FOX. You can access the BTN schedule here.

Q: How are games selected to air on the various networks?
A: Non-conference and primetime games are selected in late spring, with conference games selected by the networks either six or 12 days before the scheduled game.

Q: Which specific Maryland football games will be on BTN/BTN2Go this year?
A: James Madison at Maryland (3:30 PM ET, Aug. 30), West Virginia at Maryland (noon ET Sept. 13) and Michigan State at Maryland (8 PM ET, Nov. 15). Other Maryland games to be carried on BTN/BTN2Go will be selected either six or 12 days before the scheduled game.

Q: My on-screen channel guide says there are three BTN channels. Will there be programming on all those channels?
A: What you are seeing is your provider’s identifying its Extra Football Game Channels, which are only used by BTN on Football Saturdays.

Q: What if my TV provider does not offer Extra Football Game Channels in HD?
A: BTN produces and airs all its football games in HD and provides them in HD to your TV provider. It is up to your TV provider to carry them in HD.

Q: Will you re-air Maryland football games during the week?
A: BTN re-airs a select number of games each week. You can view the BTN schedule here.

Q. How can I find out when Maryland Olympic sports will air?
A. As new Olympic sports TV schedules are officially announced, they are posted here. You can bookmark our online TV schedule, and also check BTN2Go for updated schedules.

Q: Does BTN stream any events?
A: Yes.  BTN streams 700+ non-televised events as part of the BTN Plus subscription, available within BTN2Go.

Q: What if my TV provider doesn’t carry BTN?
A: You should call your provider and let them know you would like them to carry it. You can also go here and enter your zip code to see if there are other TV providers in your area that carry BTN.

Q: If a game is on BTN, will it also be on ESPN or ABC?
A: When a game is airing live on BTN, ABC, ESPN or FOX, that network has the exclusive rights to that game.

Q: If a game airs on another network, will it ever be replayed on BTN?
A: BTN has rights to re-air games that have appeared other Big Ten television partner networks beginning at midnight Saturday. Check here for the BTN schedule. 

Q: If Maryland is playing James Madison at 3:30 PM ET on BTN and BTN is airing another game at the same time, which game will I get?
A: It depends on where you live. Go to at mid-week to learn the BTN channel for the game you want to watch.

Q: What kind of Big Ten football coverage does BTN provide other than the games?
A: On football Saturdays, BTN kicks off its coverage with BTN Football Pregame beginning at 11 a.m. ET, and offers halftime and post-game coverage in addition to The Final Drive, which begins after all the day’s games have ended. You can find the full BTN schedule here.

Q: Can I purchase a DVD of Maryland games or shows that feature Maryland?
A: We are currently unable to fill requests for DVDs of individual programs. Our video licensing partner, T3Media, offers some of our programming through its website.

Q: If I live overseas, how can I watch Maryland games?
