Terps In Eighth After Second Round of ACC Tournament

GREENSBORO, N.C.-The Maryland women’s golf team is in eighth place after the second round of the ACC Championship Friday at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

The Terps shot a total team score of 305 Friday. They have a two-round score of 611.

Emily Gimpel had an extremely strong round Friday shooting a 72. She is tied for 38th place. Juliet Vongphoumy continued her strong tournament shooting a second round score of 77 and is currently tied for 14th place.

Alexandria Papell is in 32nd place after posting a second round score of 77 as well. Heidi Baek and Jessica Gregory rounded out the group for the Terps. Baek is tied for 38th after shooting an 80 in round two. Gregory shot a 79 and is in 47th place.

Maryland will start the final round tomorrow at 9:20 a.m.
