COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Fans attending Friday night's annual Red-White Spring Game will have the opportunity to help raise money for the Maryland Chapter of Uplifting Athletes.

Representatives will be located in Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium for the 7 p.m. kickoff collecting donations for the student-athlete represented group.

The Maryland chapter of Uplifting Athletes, headed up by President Sal Conaboy and Vice President C.J. Brown, raises money and awareness for cystic fibrosis, a rare life-threatening, genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of 30,000 children and adults in the United States. They chose this disease to help former Terrapin quarterback Boomer Esiason, whose son is battling cystic fibrosis.

Maryland will once again be raising funds for its annual Lift for Life, which will be held on Saturday, April 26. Join the fight against cystic fibrosis by supporting the Terps. For more information on the Maryland chapter, visit upliftingathletes.org.

Uplifting Athletes is a national nonprofit organization aligning college football with rare diseases. Each campus chapter is run by football student-athletes and works to elevate its chosen rare disease as a national priority through outreach, research, education and advocacy.
