PRINCETON, N.J. - Despite winning the doubles point, the Maryland women’s tennis team dropped its match to No. 68 Princeton, 5-2, at Jadwin Gym Sunday afternoon.

Nataliya Bredikhina also won her debut match at the No. 2 position in the lineup. Princeton captured the close matches when it needed to, winning three three-set contests.

Maryland sealed the doubles point behind the duo of Olivia Gaudreault and Alex Stanova, who won their match, 8-4. The Bredikhina sisters sealed the point with an 8-6 win.

In singles, Bredikhina’s performance was overshadowed by Princeton’s clutch play in the close matches. Lindsay Graff clinched it for the Tigers.

The Terps retake the court next Friday against Duke. Action is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
