Wells Earns USBWA All-District Honor

Complete All-District Team

ST. LOUIS – Junior guard Dez Wells has been named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District III Team, based on voting from its national membership of 900-plus.

It marks the ninth consecutive season a Maryland player has been named to the USBWA All-District Team, including recent Terrapins Alex Len, Terrell Stoglin, Jordan Williams and Greivis Vasquez.

Wells has done it all for the Terps this season, leading the team in points (14.8/g), total assists (69) and blocks (26). He has scored double-figures in all but four games, including 14 of his last 15 contests.

The Terrapins return to action Thursday at noon against Florida State in the ACC Tournament. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
