Terps to Open Spring at USC Aiken Palmetto Classic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's golf team is set to open spring competition at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Monday in Aiken, S.C.

The Terrapins will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday on the par-70, 6,695-yard setup at the historic Palmetto Golf Club, which is recognized as the fourth oldest golf course in the nation.

The 18-team field consists of No. 7 Virginia, No. 26 South Carolina, No. 31 Clemson, Liberty, Akron, Chattanooga, Elon, Francis Marion, Furman, Georgia Regents, Georgia State, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Penn, Presbyterian, Wofford and host USC Aiken round out the field.

Sean Bosdosh, Victor Fox, Tom Harris, Connor Tendall and Andrew Stein will compete for Maryland.

The Terrapins will look to build on their strong finish to the fall schedule. They finished second out of 18 teams in the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate in October. Fox finished tied for eighth at two-under par and Bosdosh finished tied for 19th at two-over. All five Terrapins ended up in the top 30 on the leaderboard.
