As the University of Maryland makes its transition from a storied history in the Atlantic Coast Conference to a promising future in the Big Ten Conference, the Terps will reflect on special Proud Past moments during the 2014 campaign.

Maryland returned to the top in 1992, six years after capturing its first NCAA crown in 1986.  The Terps capped a 14-1 season with a thrilling overtime win against Harvard in the national championship game in Bethlehem, Pa.

Heralded coach Cindy Timchal led the Terps to her first of a remarkable eight NCAA titles with a pair of overtime victories, including an 8-7 victory against rival Virginia in the national semifinals.

A crowd of nearly 1,800 was on hand on the campus of Lehigh University to watch the Terps hoist their third of 11 national championships and kick off a string of unprecedented success in the 1990s.
