COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Future Maryland men’s basketball guard Melo Trimble (class of 2014-15) has been selected to the 37th annual McDonald’s All American Game, scheduled for April 2 in Chicago. He is the first future Terrapin to be selected to the team since Mike Jones in 2003.
“I want to congratulate Melo on this honor,” said head coach Mark Turgeon. “He is very deserving of this recognition. Melo is an outstanding young man and we’re very excited to have him join our program next season.”
A 6-2 point guard from O’Connell High School in Upper Marlboro, Md., Trimble headlines a four-player 2014-15 Maryland class that is ranked in the top-10 among numerous national outlets.
Also included in the incoming class is Dion Wiley, Trayvon Reed and Jared Nickens.
