UPDATE: Both weeks are now SOLD OUT.
The Maryland gymnastics team will host its annual summer camp for two sessions, July 27th-31st and August 3rd-7th, at the Maryland Gymnastics Training Facility in the School of Public Health. The camp is open to competitive gymnasts ages seven to 18 for all levels from beginner to level 10 and Elite.
Members and coaches of the Maryland gymnastics team and other college and club coaches from across the nation will serve as coaches for the campers.
The campers learn fundamentals of gymnastics and have the opportunity to learn from a number of experienced coaches who can take an individualized approach to each unique gymnast.
Campers can chose to enroll as overnight or day campers. The overnight campers will stay in University of Maryland resident halls on North Campus with 24-hour supervision. All meals will be provided at The Diner on North Campus. There will also be a camp store open each evening with pizza and snacks.
Overnight campers should bring a bathing suit, sheets, blankets, alarm clock and any hygiene items. Campers are encouraged to leave valuable items at home as the camp is not responsible for lost personal items.
There will be a certified trainer on duty for the entirety of the camp to treat any injuries or ailments. The camp requires a medical release form to be completed, which can be found online in the gymnastics section on umterps.com.
Last year both weeks sold out with a record 245 gymnasts, including three international gymnasts in attendance. To ensure the best coaching and most attention to each athlete, we are holding the camp capacity to just 125 campers per week (100 overnight, and 25 day).
The camp costs $595 for overnight campers or $495 for day campers. If a gymnast wishes to enroll in both weeks of camp, there will be a $30 discount off the final cost. There are also group and family discounts available.

The team held a successful one-day Winter Workout camp on Dec. 31, which included two groups of level 10 gymnasts. More than 80 gymnasts from all over the east coast came out on the holiday evening to participate.
“We really had a blast hosting this year’s winter clinic,” head coach of the Maryland gymnastics team, Brett Nelligan, said. “The staff was great and the kids were awesome. It was really a lot of fun.”
