COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women’s basketball team released its full 2013-14 schedule Wednesday. It features 16 Atlantic Coast Conference games, including home games vs. Notre Dame, Florida State, Syracuse and Georgia Tech.
The Terrapins will open their ACC slate at North Carolina on Jan. 5 in a game shown on ESPNU. Then, Maryland will return home for a three-game home stand with matchups vs. Wake Forest, Syracuse and Georgia Tech Jan. 9 through Jan. 19. Maryland will play at Virginia Jan. 23 in an RSN-televised game.
ACC newcomer Notre Dame will come to Comcast Center for the first time since 2007 on Jan. 27 in an ESPN2 Big Monday game. To close the month of January, the Terrapins will play at NC State on Jan. 30 in a game shown on ESPN3.
Maryland’s first game in February will be at Syracuse on Feb. 2, then the Terps will host Pittsburgh and Clemson on Feb. 6 and Feb. 9, respectively. Next, the Terrapins will make a roadtrip to Miami on Feb. 13. Maryland will play at Duke in its second Big Monday matchup of the season on Feb. 17.
The Terps will host 2012 NCAA Tournament team Florida State on Feb. 20. They will take on Georgia Tech in Atlanta in an ESPN2 game on Feb. 23, then travel to Boston College on Feb. 27. Maryland will host Virginia Tech in its final regular season game on March 2.
The Terrapins will play in the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. March 5-9, with the NCAA Tournament beginning March 22. Sites for the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament have not been determined, with the Final Four April 6-8 in Nashville, Tenn.

In the earliest preseason polls, the Terrapins are ranked No. 5 nationally. They went 26-8 in the 2012-13 season and advanced to the program’s fifth Sweet Sixteen in head coach Brenda Frese’s 11 years. This year, the Terps return four of five starters, two-time ACC Player of the Year Alyssa Thomas, and bring on four talented newcomers in Lexie Brown, A’Lexus Harrison, Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
