Senior forward Jake Pace helped lead the United States to a gold medal at the Maccabiah Games in Israel this summer.
Pace, who was named a team captain for the Terps as preseason training kicked off early last week, and Team USA defeated Denmark, Mexico, Germany and Canada before topping Argentina in penalty kicks en route to the title. The squad’s lone loss was to Uruguay 1-0.

The Maccabiah Games, often referred to as the "Jewish Olympics," are an international sporting competition, first held in 1932, open to athletes of Jewish heritage, as well as Israeli athletes of all religions. This year's games welcomed more than 7,000 athletes from 76 nations.
