Three Maryland student-athletes were named to the ACC All-Academic Men’s and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team.
On the men’s side, senior Jon Hill (Criminology & Criminal Justice) and junior Sean O’Leary (Marketing) were named to the academic team. Hill, a two-time honoree, took second in the high jump at the ACC Championships and also captured the event in the Maryland Invitational and Kehoe Twilight. O’Leary finished 19th at the ACC Championships in the 1000m.
For the women, senior kinesiology major Arielle Statham Statham was tabbed to the team. She finished eighth in the 400m and 14th in the triple jump at the ACC Championships this season to help lead the Terps. She was also a member of the sixth-place 4x400 relay at ACC Championships
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must have a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and have earned 3.0 GPA in the previous semester. The All-ACC Academic Team is comprised from student-athletes from all 12 ACC member institutions.
