NEW LONDON, N.C. – Junior Sean Bosdosh closed the day out with a 73, and finished tied for 17th at the Men’s ACC Golf Championships on Sunday. Bosdosh finished the tournament with a one-under 215 (71-71-73), and recorded his tenth consecutive top-20 finish.
Stephen Bosdosh shot a team-low 70 in his final round today, and finished tied for 38th. The senior carded a 221 (74-77-70), his lowest 54-hole score of the year, in his final tournament as a Terp. Sophomore Ben Warnquist finished tied for 36th after a shooting a 220 (74-77-70) over the weekend.
The team title went to Duke University after starting the day behind Florida State. The Blue Devils finished with a three stroke lead and shot a combined 839 (282-273-284) at the tournament. The individual title went to Georgia Tech’s Anders Albertson, who shot a 15-under 201 (66-67-68) at this year’s event.
The Maryland team finished 10th but posted their best round of the tournament today with a three-over 291. The Terps finished with a 883 (298-294-291) for the weekend.
“I’m definitely happy with the way we played today” said Director of Intercollegiate Golf Stephen Bosdosh, it was a great round for him this last round. But overall, hopefully it gives us some momentum going into next year.”
With this finish and his body of work from the regular season, Sean Bosdosh will await news of a potential individual bid the NCAA Regional Championships May 16-18.
“He didn’t finish out of the top 20 all year, it was a great year,” said Rodenhaver. “We have our fingers crossed that hopefully he’ll get a bid to [NCAA] Regionals. We’ll find that out next Monday. It will be well deserved.”
