COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Katy Dodds and Stephanie Giameo of the No. 22 Maryland gymnastics team received regular-season first-team NACGC/W All-America honors for their performances this season.

"This is an incredible honor for Katy and Steph, and well deserved," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "Week by week they achieved near perfection on their respected events, a feat that¹s not easy in this era of gymnastics."

This is the first year that the NACGC/W (National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women) have awarded regular-season All-America honors, which are determined by regional qualifying score (RQS). Gymnasts ranked 1-8 in RQS were selected to the first team, while those ranked 9-16 were selected to the second team (including ties).

Dodds earned first-team vault honors after being consistently ranked in the top 10 in the event. The junior finished the season ranked eighth nationally in the event with an RQS of 9.920. Dodds set a program record on vault with a 9.975.

Giameo earned first-team balance beam honors and finished the year ranked eighth on the event. The sophomore ended the season with an RQS of 9.900. Giameo tied the program-record on beam with a 9.950.

The Terps ended the season with a fourth place finish at the NCAA Gainesville Regional. The 195.575 was the second-highest score in regional competiton for the Terps, while the fourth place was the second-highest finish at regionals.
