WASHINGTON, D.C. - Katie Schwarzmann, Alex Aust and Iliana Sanza were named three of the 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, announced Friday night.

Schwarzmann, who won the award last season as a junior, was recently tabbed to the All-ACC team for a fourth time. She is one of only three players to accomplish that milestone. Schwarzmann boasts 51 goals and 19 assists as a two-time captain for the undefeated Terrapins.

Aust has been spectacular in her senior campaign, tallying a career-best 106 points with 58 goals and 48 assists. She has 12 games with a hat trick or better in 2013.

Sanza has anchored the Maryland defense all season long. The senior has 24 ground ball and 14 caused turnovers for the undefeated Terps.

Maryland continues its quest for a fifth-straight ACC championship with a 5 p.m. battle against North Carolina Sunday at 5 p.m. at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill.
