ASCDU CHAMPS/Life Skills Cup
The CHAMPS/Life Skills Cup is a team competition designed to create greater participation in CHAMPS events. CHAMPS points can be earned in a variety of ways. If you have questions about what may earn points ask Laura Fellon.
Each team earns points based on their successes in the classroom and on the field. Additionally, they earn points when members of the team participate in personal development, career development and community service events. The personal development, career development and community service points are awarded based on the percentage of the team that participates in the event.
If an individual team, an individual student-athlete or a small group of student-athletes participate in one of the five components of the CHAMPS/Life Skills program sponsored by other organizations they will also earn points for their team. Upon completion of the event the team's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative will complete the CHAMPS/Life Skills verification form and submit it to Laura Fellon in the ASCDU within two weeks of the event.
Standings are determined based on the rankings that a team earns in each of the five components. The final rankings that a team earns in each component are averaged together so that the team that has the best average across the five components will be the winner.
The CHAMPS/Life Skills Cup is awarded to the Men's and Women's teams that earn the most points over one calendar year. The Cup is presented to the Men's and Women's teams at the President's Cup Awards banquet during April of each year. The schedule for the next two years is as follows:
