As a Freshman (2011): Made 18 appearances with six starts, spending most of the season in relief before making his last five appearances as a starter ... had a 5.71 ERA while totaling 58 1/3 innings, the third most on the team ... finished fourth on the team with 56 strikeouts ... moved into the starting rotation on 4/17 vs. Miami ... after making a start in his collegiate debut at No. 6 Texas on Feb. 20, pitched in relief the next 12 games and gave up just eight earned runs in 30 1/3 innings ... didn't allow a run in five straight outings (10 2/3 innings) from 3/22 to 4/5 ... pitched a then-season-high 5 2/3 innings in relief at Clemson on 4/9, allowing three runs (two earned) ... made the second start of his career on 4/17 vs. Miami and logged seven innings, allowed just one run while spreading out five hits, striking out six and walking three ... gave up just five earned runs in his first 25 2/3 innings of conference action before having a rough start against Virginia Tech on 4/23 ... struck out a season-high eight but allowed eight runs in six innings at NC State (4/30) ... allowed six runs, only three of them earned, in 4 2/3 innings against North Carolina (4/8) ... allowed four runs on seven hits on two walks while striking out five in 6 1/3 innings against Wake Forest (5/21) ... held the Demon Deacons to two hits through the first five innings before allowing a pair of runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.
