As a Sophomore (2014): Appeared in 13 games all in relief … finished with a 0-1 record and a 7.27 ERA in 17-1/3 innings with 12 strikeouts … pitched two innings of relief in the season opener at Florida (2/14) and struck out two … threw two perfect innings of relief in game two of a doubleheader against Massachusetts (3/1) … struck out a season-high three batters in a perfect inning of relief in the series opener against NC State (3/21) … pitched 1-2/3 innings of scoreless relief against Mt. St. Mary’s (4/9) … did not surrender a hit in an inning of work at VCU (5/6) … threw a scoreless inning in game one at Pittsburgh (5/9).

As a Freshman (2013):  Made 21 appearances out of the bullpen, tied for the third-most on the team … finished with a 3-2 record and a 3.22 ERA over 44-2/3 innings, the most of any reliever, and posted 24 strikeouts … made his collegiate debut at LSU with scoreless inning pitched (2/17) … pitched three innings of one-hit ball with two strikeouts to earn his first career save against Princeton (3/1) … in the first game at Virginia (3/9), threw 3-1/3 scoreless innings … picked up his first career win against Marist (3/12) … struck out a career-high four in 5-1/3 innings while allowing one run in game three against Wake Forest (3/24) … in the final game at NC State (3/31), pitched four scoreless innings … pitched three innings to earn his second win against VCU (4/9) … gave up one run and struck out two in 3-1/3 innings in game one against Miami (4/12) … earned his third win of the season at Towson (4/24).

At Gilman: A four-year letterwinner in baseball and a three-year letterwinner in volleyball...helped the Greyhounds to the 2010 MIAA championship with a perfect 7-0 record on the mound...named to ESPN HS Top 10 Pitchers Watch List for Maryland as a senior...earned MVP honors for the North Team in the 2012 Brooks Robinson All-Star Game...nominated for the 2012 ESPN HS Gatorade Player of the Year in Maryland...named a 2011 Perfect Game USA preseason All-America honorable mention...MIAA All-Conference performer in volleyball in 2011.

Personal: Son of Michael and Donna Casas...a four-year member of the honor roll at Gilman School...plans to major in business...favorite sports hero is Nolan Ryan...also recruited by Air Force, Charlotte, Dartmouth, Georgia Southern, Penn, Richmond, Virginia, Virginia Tech, William & Mary and Winthrop.
