A member of the wrestling team since arriving in College Park in the fall of 2010. Joined the football team prior to the start of the 2014 season.

As a Redshirt Junior (2013-2014): finished fourth on the team in wins in a season that saw him earn 25 victories ... qualifed for NCAA's after a runner-up finish at the ACC Championship ... earned All-ACC honors ... only lost twice in the ACC, both to eventual national champion Nick Gwiazdowski of NC State ... started the season 15-0 and rose to as high as No. 4 nationally ... won the 2014 Roadrunner Open. 

As a Junior (2012-13): Served a redshirt season and went 11-0 in open competition ... earned All-American honors at the National Collegiate Open with a second-place finish ... captured titles at the Wilkes and F&M Open ... tallied five falls and one technical fall ... advanced to the finals of the Wilkes Open with three falls all under two minutes and defeated Virginia Tech's Ty Walz by a 4-1 margin to win the title ... earned a 17-0 technical fall over Hofstra's Zeal Mcgrew in the semifinals of the F&M Open before earning a 3-0 decision in the finals.

As a Sophomore (2011-12): Went 21-7 at 285 pounds...ranked as high as No. 3 by InterMat...named to the All-ACC team for the second consecutive season...defeated Virginia Tech's Chris Penny in the final at the ACC Championships...pinned Brockport's John Wilkinson to win the bronze medal at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Invitational (11/12)...won an 8-2 decision over Penn State's Nicholas Ruggear to finish third at the Nittany Lion Open (12/4)...placed fifth at the prestigious Midlands Championships (12/30).

As a Freshman (2010-11):Went 30-13 at heavyweight as a true freshman...placed sixth at the NCAA Championship, earning All-American status and becoming the first true freshman to do so at the University of Maryland...named ACC co-Freshman of the Year...claimed ACC title after topping Virginia Tech's David Marone in overtime in the championship finals...won nine straight matches between Jan. 7 and Jan. 16...named Freshman of the Year at the Maryland team banquet.

Before Maryland: The 2010 Pennsylvania State Champion at 215 pounds ... compiled a 149-18 career record ... went a perfect 44-0 as a senior ... ranked as the No. 2 wrestler in the nation at 215 pounds by Intermat ... a three-sport star in wrestling, football and track & field ... won a state championship in football as a senior ... the Pennsylvania wrestler of the year as a senior ... also the Pennsylvania football defensive player of the year as a senior ... state finalist in discus in 2010 ... first team all-state in wrestling as a senior ... first team all-state in football as a senior ... second team all-state in wrestling as a junior ... second team all-state in football as a junior ... member of four district championship teams in track & field ... helped lead the football team to the state semi-finals as a junior and the quarter-finals as a sophomore ... went 60-0 between wrestling and football as a senior.
