As a Redshirt Freshman (2012-13): Went 8-7 at 125 and 133 pounds appearing in four duals ... recorded three pins on the season ... began the season with a 13-4 major decision over Andrew Gianacola of Rutgers at the Nittany Lion Open ... won the Wilkes Open at 125 pounds going 4-0 with two victories by fall ... closed the season by going 2-2 at the National Collegiate Open.

As a Freshman (2011-12): Served a redshirt season...went 7-6 at 125 pounds in open competition...opened the Shorty Hitchcock Open with three consecutive victories to reach the semifinals (1/15)...defeated Logan Shanks of Central Michigan in the opening round of the Nittany Lion open for his first collegiate victory (12/4).

Before Maryland: Had over 100 career victories at Gonzaga College High School...four-time Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) champion...played on Gonzaga's rugby team which was ranked third in the country.

Personal: Full name is Paul Andrew O'Neill...son of Thomas and Yvonne O'Neill...graduated from Gonzaga with a 3.0 GPA and plans to major in history.
