Top-Seeded Terps Hang 12-8 Loss On UVA

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Maryland advanced to Sunday's ACC tournament championship game with a 12-8 victory over the University of Virginia Friday night here at the Disney Wide World of Sports complex.

The win by the Terps avenged their only loss of the season, a 7-2 setback in Charlottesville March 31. Maryland improved to 10-1 on the season. The Terps will face the winner of Friday's second contest, between Duke and North Carolina, Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
