• Maryland improves its record to 9-2, while Brown falls to 3-6.
• The Terps are 2-0 all-time against the Bears. Prior to today's game, the Terps' last meeting with the Bears came on Dec. 29, 2000 in the Gatorade Hurricane Holiday Classic in Coral Gables, Fla.
• The Terps have won 95 of 100 non-conference games played at the Comcast Center.

• Starting line-up: Alicia DeVaughn, Tianna Hawkins, Alyssa Thomas
• Maryland turned in one of its best defensive performances of the season holding Brown to 36 points including 12 points in the second half. It is the Terps lowest opponent scoring total of the season surpassing the 40 points Maryland held George Mason to on Dec. 8.
• The Terps dished out 26 assists, their second-highest total of the season, and blocked six shots, which tied for their second-best total of the season.
• Maryland continued its trend of dominating its opponent on the glass. The Terps outrebounded the Bears, 43-24, and have outrebounded its opponents in all 11 games this season and 44 of 47 games dating back to last season.
• The Terps scored 50 of its 76 points in the paint and outscored the Bears by 36 points. Maryland has held its opponents to 20 points or less in the paint in all 11 games this season.

Individual Game Notes
• Tianna Hawkins led all scorers with 20 points. It is the 10th time this season Hawkins has scored in double-digits. Hawkins is now eight points shy of reaching the 1,200 career-point total.
• Alyssa Thomas finished with 16 points and eight rebounds just missing her fifth straight double-double. Thomas has now scored in double figures in 67 of 76 career games and eight games this season. With 16 points scored, Thomas surpassed the 1,200 career-point total and now sits with 1,207, which ranks 23rd all-time.

• Katie Rutan turned in her third consecutive double-figure scoring effort with 11 points. Rutan also added a career-best five assists.
