UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Rob Frelow and Natasha Emmanuel each posted strong marks in the men's and women's 400-meter dash on Saturday, highlighting University of Maryland performances at the Penn State National Open indoor track and field meet held at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Frelow finished in a tie for sixth overall in the men's 400, posting a time of 48.17 seconds. It also improved his qualifying mark for the IC4A Championships to be held in March.

Emmanuel won her heat in the women's 400, running 57.22 seconds. The Maryland freshman qualified for the ECAC Championships in March with that mark, which was a season-best for her.
