COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland senior midfielder Jen Adams has earned her second consecutive ACC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honor of the 2001 season. She was named the conference's top player after leading the Terrapins to an 11-7 win over Syracuse.
Adams, a native of Brighton, South Australia, led the Terrapins with eight points in Maryland's lone game of the week. She scored three goals and also added five assists, contributing on eight of the Terps' 11 goals.
With the eight points, Adams became Maryland's all-time leader in points with 320, surpassing the total of 319 set by Kelly Amonte (1993-96). Through three games of '01, Adams had posted an amazing 23 points.
