COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland's men's golf team finished fifth out of 12 teams in this weekend's Wolfpack Intercollegiate tournament at Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State.
Sean Bosdosh finished the tournament as the top Maryland player, tied for fourth overall at 1-under par 215 (69-76-70). His final round, 2-under par 70 on Saturday propelled him to a third straight top five finish. Bosdosh was one of nine players who ended the tournament under par, and had 10 birdies on the weekend.
Andrew McCain placed second for Maryland, tying for 16th place overall, and finishing 3-over on the weekend. The freshman had two under-par rounds Friday and was the co-leader heading into the final round, but shot a 77 on Saturday.
Fellow freshman Tom Harris tied for 20th place, shooting his weekend best during the third round, earning a 2-under 70 on the day. Harris finished 4-over on the weekend.
North Carolina's Brandon Dalinka placed first in the tournament, shooting 6-under for a total score of 210. The Tar Heels also captured the team title with a 10-under 854, 10 strokes clear of second place East Carolina.
