COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland senior midfielder Keith Beach collected yet another honor as he was selected one of 11 men's collegiate MVPs by Soccer America. Beach is one of only four seniors, and one of three players from the ACC, selected to the list.
The Northport, N.Y. native recorded a team-high 14 assists and was the glue of the Maryland midfield which advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the first time since 1969. Beach became the school's all-time career assist leader with 32, and ranks 10th all-time on the Maryland points chart with 64 career points. His 14 assists this season tied him for first with Gino Ferrin as the Terps' single-season assist leader.
Beach's list of accolades he garnered this season include a first team All-ACC selection, a third team NSCAA All-American, a first team All-South Atlantic selection and a College Soccer Weekly first team All-American.
