COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
On the game:
"This came can be summed up in a couple of statements -- we had three penalties, [and] one early, from what I am told, was a little shaky. We have three penalties negate three pretty big plays for us. We didn't protect our quarterback well enough. We had three big offensive linemen out and that was a challenge, as we knew it would be coming in."
"We had our chances to make our share of big plays in the passing game, but we turned the ball over and that led to their third score and you can't do that against a good team."
On the Maryland defensive effort:
"I thought we played the run game well but we gave up too many big plays in the passing game. Georgia Tech is very good at doing those things ... we were in position to make plays most of the time -- we just didn't make enough of them."
On his teams' effort:
"I thought our guys, even after falling behind early, never quit playing and did a good job in the second half of continuing to play hard. I don't think we ever got back in it, but we did play hard enough to win the second half."
