Seventh-year professional Torrey Smith highlighted the day for former Maryland football players in the NFL, literally and figuratively hitting a home run with a 59-yard touchdown reception. Smith, who finished the afternoon with three catches for 70 yards, celebrated his touchdown with his teammates by pretending to hit a baseball. The celebration went viral and is considered as one of the best so far this season.

Smith's teammate, Dexter McDougle, finished the game with one tackle as the Eagles defeated the Cardinals 34-7.

Just days after being re-signed by the LA Chargers, Nick Novak came through by knocking down both of his field goal attempts and all three PATs. The excellent kicking performance helped lead the Chargers to their first win of the season in a 27-22 victory over the Giants.

Elsewhere, Yannick Ngakoue had a quite day with one tackle, while Stefon Diggs managed just one catch as he battled a leg injury.

The Saints' Trey Edmunds and Redskins' Vernon Davis enjoyed their respective bye weeks.
