ROSEMONT, Ill. – Sophomore Peter Knade of the Maryland men’s golf team was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week Wednesday for his first career weekly honor.
Knade led the way for Maryland in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate with his four-under score of 212 (72-70-70). He finished tied for sixth in the individual standings.
Knade, a native of Easton, Md., has finished in the top 10 in both of the Terps’ first two events this year. He
Maryland wrapped up at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh Tuesday. As a team, the Terrapins tied for fifth out of 14 teams competing with a score of 871 (292-291-288), which was seven strokes over par total. Maryland tied tournament-host NC State with the lowest round Tuesday.
Next, Maryland will compete at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate this weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C.
