COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland gymnastics team will host its annual summer camp for four sessions this upcoming summer. The camps will be hosted from June 14-17, June 17-20, August 2-5 and August 5-8. All camp dates are open to beginner level gymnasts through level 10 and Elite gymnasts, ages seven to 18. The camps are hosted at the Maryland Gymnastics Training Facility located in the School of Public Health building on the campus of the University of Maryland.
Campers can chose to enroll as an overnight camper or day camper, with overnight campers staying in the University of Maryland resident halls on North Campus with 24-hour supervision. All meals will be provided at The Diner on North Campus.
Coaches and student athletes from the Maryland gymnastics team as well as other college and club coaches from across the nation will serves as coaches for all sessions of the camp. Campers will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics as well as individualized skills at every level. Coaches will give one-on-one attention to each unique gymnast.
Overnight campers should bring a bathing suit, sheets, blankets, alarm clock and any hygiene items. Campers are encouraged to leave valuable items at home as the camp is not responsible for lost personal items.
There will be a certified trainer on duty for the entirety of the camp to treat any injuries or ailments. The camp requires a medical release form to be completed, which can be found online during the registration process.
