As a Freshman (2016-2017): Won 16 matches wrestling primarily at 174 pounds during redshirt season…won first collegiate match by fall at Southeast Open (11/6)…posted three wins at Bearcat Open (11/13)…earned major decision over Buffalo’s Logan Rill at Mat Town Open (11/27)…picked up four wins at the Messiah Open, beating York’s Francis Krauss and Millersville’s Nick Mancini by major decision to take third (2/4)…notched two wins at Warriors Winter Open (2/12). 

Before Maryland: Two-time Alaska State Champion...2015 Triple Crown Champion...helped team capture two state championships...2013 state placer (4th)...also ran cross country, finishing first at regionals and 32nd at states during senior season...class salutatorian and vice president.

Personal: Son of Raymond and Stephanie Woods...only student-athlete at Maryland from the state of Alaska...hobbies include trapping, hunting and snow mobiling...chose Maryland for, “The crab cakes and wrestling”...majoring in letters and sciences.
