Head coach Brenda Frese hired Joe Glowacki as the Director of Recruiting Operations in spring 2016. Glowacki was a part of the Maryland program throughout his college career, serving the Terrapins in many capacities as a manager.
Glowacki’s primary responsibilities include assisting with the organizing of all aspects of recruiting including data entry, mailouts, coaches’ travel and assisting with official and unofficial campus visits.
"Joe has completely earned this position,” Frese said. “Anyone that has met him knows he's a star within our program. I take great pride in his progression from starting out as a student manager, to becoming our head manager to now being a full-time staff member. From the first day we met Joe, he's always been about the program and willing to do whatever is needed. We're really happy to keep him around."
"I am incredibly excited and humbled to be joining the staff at Maryland,” Glowacki said. “Coach Frese has established a program that is the gold standard in women’s basketball and to be a part it is a dream come true for me. I know that the entire staff is deeply committed to success – for our players, for the program and for the University. The future is extremely bright here at Maryland and I can't wait to get to work.”
Glowacki graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2016 with his bachelor’s degree in English. His parents are Michael and Stephanie Glowacki and he has two brothers, Will and Thomas.
