  • NFHCA National Academic Squad (2016)

As a sophomore (2017): Has seen action in all five games so far this season...made first career start vs. #12 Boston College (Sept. 3)...notched an assist in Terps' 8-0 rout vs. Towson (Sept. 8).

As a freshman (2016): Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad...part of team that won third straight Big Ten regular season title.

Before Maryland: Played midfield at South River for four years...scored 10 goals with 6 assists in her career...served as team captain in 2015...named First Team All-County by Coaches, Second Team All-County and Second Team All-State as a junior in won Anne Arundel County title as a freshman and sophomore and 4A State title in her freshman year...has also played for Freedom Hockey won National Club Championship in 2015 and took first in the National Indoor Tournament.

Personal: Parents are Teresa Hruzd and Joseph Thomas...has one brother, Zach, who goes to Maryland...member of National Honors Society...earned a black belt in third grade...came to Maryland because she's been supporting the Terps for as long as she can remember...both parents attended Maryland...psychology major.
