Esteban joined the University of Maryland Strength and Conditioning Staff for the 2015-16 season. Esteban will be working with the Terrapin baseball, wrestling, and women's golf programs. Prior to UMD, Esteban worked for the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
During his tenure with the Cardinals, Coach Doria was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach under the tutelage of Minor League Coordinator Rachel Balkovec and Major League Strength Coach Pete Prinzi. Esteban coordinated the strength and conditioning efforts of the GCL Cardinals, assisting the team to a GCL East Division championship, a league championship semi-final appearance, and aiding in the development of league MVP Allen Cordoba. Doria also designed the Cardinal's MiLB Off-Season Speed Development and Conditioning Program. His other responsibilities included software-based Running Bio-mechanic critique and analysis, as well as assistance with conditioning protocols for MLB and MiLB rehabilitation athletes.
Esteban received his Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Louisiana State University. During his time at LSU, Doria worked under LSU's Tommy Moffitt. Esteban primarily assisted with the strength and conditioning implementation of LSU's baseball, football, volleyball, and women's soccer programs.
Throughout his stay at Baton Rouge, Esteban worked for the Gayle Hatch Weightlifting Team under the counsel of 7-time World Team member Matt Bruce and 2004 Olympic Head Weightlifting Coach Gayle Hatch. Esteban assisted the team to 1 AAU National Title, 6 AAU National Gold medals, 2 Louisiana State Championships, 3 Junior National Gold medalists, 1 Junior National Silver medalist, 1 Junior National Bronze medalist, and 1 Junior Pan American Team member during his time with the Gayle Hatch Weightlifting Team.
Esteban received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Florida State University. During his undergraduate studies, Esteban interned for FSU's football strength and conditioning program under Vic Viloria and Joseph Danos. Esteban is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and has the USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach certification.
