Lydia Wright was hired in 2015 as the Resident Athletic Trainer for Women’s Gymnastics and Football.
Lydia received her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in May of 2015. During her two years in Chattanooga, she worked with the athletes of the Mocs’ football and volleyball teams, as well as athletes from Covenant College. Lydia spent three months of her graduate program interning with South Lake Hospital in Orlando, FL providing medical coverage for all sporting events held at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
In 2012, Lydia graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, SC with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Nutrition. During her time at Clemson University, Lydia worked as a student with the Tigers’ football and basketball teams and was a part of the Tigers’ 2011 Football ACC Championship.
She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) since 2013, and is currently CPR/AED certified.
A native of Marshall, VA, Lydia currently resides in College Park, MD.
